Robert Davidson, 46, is accused of killing his 43-year-old wife Judith at their home on August 21.

Davidson was remanded in custody until November 17, when he is schedule to reappear at the same court for a plea and directions hearing.

The boy, from Windermere, was taken to the Royal Lancashire Infirmary in Lancaster, but later died.
