This is the highest honoured that can be bestowed upon voluntary groups.

At a special ceremony, Brian Symington, Director of RNID Northern Ireland, was presented with an inscribed commemorative crystal and certificate signed by the Queen.

The project provides essential practical support and friendship to 700 hearing aid users in their communities.

As well as showing people how to maintain their hearing aids, the volunteers assist families and carers in improving their communication and demonstrate equipment which makes life easier for people with a hearing loss.
